Soft serve means ice cream, yogurt, custard and anything of that kind which are not frozen hard. You can make one with the use of a soft serve machine that allows air to add volume to the ice cream for about 45%. If 25% of air is added to one gallon of ice cream, that means 1.25 gallons of ice cream. The combination of higher temperature and more air creates creamier consistency to the mix.
